Dead people in IEBC voters register to 'vote' for Jubilee in 2017?

21 August 2016, 18:31 Gabriel Ngalla

lMombasa - CORD leader, Raila Odinga has called for a serious scrutiny of the existing voters register so as to avert irregularities in the 2017 polls.

Raila said that it is likely that the Jubilee Government will rig the elections if the current voters register will not be properly inspected and all the figures, names and any other details within the IEBC register confirmed.

The CORD leader who addressed locals at Hola in Tana River County as he wound up his four-day Coastal tour said that the existing voters register is full of names of deceased people whom the Jubilee government will definitely use to rig the elections.

"The country has experienced inaccurate elections results following very many irregularities in the voters register; we need to end that and ensure we have very open polls come 8th August, 2017," said the CORD leader.

Raila also supported the removal of all the nine IEBC commissioners saying that they have been used by the Jubilee government to plan rigging of the forthcoming polls and have no choice but to go home.
