Daring robbers slaughter chicken, cook and enjoy the meal before stealing

16 August 2016, 11:33 Joseph Njung'eh

Nyeri - An unknown number of robbers slaughtered some chicken, cooked and ate the meal together at Ndia-ini Coffee Factory in Mukurwe-ini, Nyeri before stealing 36 bags of coffee worth thousands of shillings.

The said robbers enjoyed the meal as four night guards watched in disbelief before loading the coffee into a waiting lorry.

They had tied the night guards together with ropes during the Sunday night incident that left many puzzled.

Area Chief, Carol Njeri said the alleged thugs also made away with 70 packets of pesticides, 20 bags of fertilizer, a computer and KES 5,000 from the cash office.

During the midnight incident at the coffee factory situated at Gakindu location, the robbers also left some slaughtered chicken after eating to satisfaction.

Njeri said the guards have already been arrested and locked up at Mukurwe-ini Police station for interrogation.
