Couple caught having sex in a mosque

03 August 2016, 12:31 Godfrey Olukya

Kampala - Muslims who were going for early morning prayers in a Kampala mosque got the shock of their life when they found a young man and woman having sex inside the mosque.

''Gasitafulahi! Gasitafulahi!'' shouted the Muslims as they arrested the two lovebirds and beat them up.

They later handed them over to police at central police station.

According to one of the eyewitnesses, Abdul Nsonye, the two were found in the act at around 5.30 am by Muslims who had gone for early morning prayers called 'Subuhi'.

''I am one of those who found the two people in action. They were doing it on the mat in the mosque. Some other colleagues had arrived before me and were watching what was taking place through the window as the man and woman did their thing,'' said Nsonye.

He said the couple discovered they had been busted after he opened the door to the mosque.

They attempted to flee but were arrested and beaten by the several Muslims who had gathered at the scene.

Police have identified the young man as Eria Seba and the woman as Zifurah Nangobi.

Kampala metropolitan police spokesman, Patrick Onyango said: ''It is unfortunate that the two were caught playing sex in a mosque. They should have done it else where but not in a mosque.''

He said they are to soon to take them to court to be charged with criminal trespass.
