CORD told to concede defeat in 2017 election in advance

06 January 2016, 11:24 Jackson Okata

Nakuru - Nakuru town east MP, David Gikaria has told the opposition coalition CORD to concede defeat in the 2017 general elections as early as today.

Gikaria said all indicators prove that Jubilee will easily retain power in 2017 saying that even CORD itself has sensed that.

Speaking Wednesday in Nakuru town, Gikaria said the defections by opposition MPs to the government side is a clear indication that Jubilee will continue ruling the country for years to come.

"Jubilee has already won the election and CORD should just concede defeat so we can save the tax payers from funding the 2017 polls. Let them just accept that even if we go to the polls they will lose," said Gikaria.

He added: "If I were them, I would just withdraw from the 2017 polls so Jubilee can be declared the winner even before the polls."

Gikaria said it will not be surprising for opposition to die by 2017 because everyone will want to be in government.

"What I know is that by 2017, everyone will be inside government and even Parliament will not have people to oppose government," he said, adding that CORD has started panicking even before the campaigns.

He further mocked CORD's allegations of rigging plot in 2017 as the last kicks of a dying horse.
