Migori - Migori Senator, Hon Wilfred Machage will not defend his seat. The Senator, who recently decamped from ODM is likely to go for Kuria West MP seat under the sponsorship of the newly formed Jubilee party.
He will try to unseat the incumbent Hon Mathias Robby of URP. Senator Machage who has been accused of being an absent Senator, has been facing hostility from the County residents and is now eyeing the parliamentary seat.
"Machage is a senior politician and should focus on County politics and leave constituency to the young politicians," said Magaiwa who slammed Machage for his move.

"He's welcomed to vie but his poor track record will work against him."
The Senator was elected on what was perceived as negotiated democracy where he was to lead Kuria voters to Cord but he failed terribly.
Prior to his election as Senator, Machage served as MP for Kuria constituency. The constituency was later split into Kuria West and Kuria East constituencies.
