Cord remains strong even after chaotic Kakamega event, says Kalonzo

Nairobi - The official opposition Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) is strong even after the chaotic events that occurred at a presidential launch of one of the principals, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said.
Kalonzo who spoke Thursday during a Wiper party National Executive Committee (Nec) said Kenyans should have no reason to be alarmed after the Kakamega fracas where violence when his colleague Senator Moses Wetang’ula was launching his bid for the highest seat in the land.

He said the coalition is intact and the three co-pricipals; Raila Odinga, wetang’ula and himself held a meeting on Tuesday where they addressed all the issues that emerged at the Muliro Gardens meeting in Kakamega.
“During the three hour meeting in Nairobi Raila Odinga explained himself apologized to Wetangula for skipping his function. There is no problem anymore,” said Kalonzo at the meeting at Wiper Headquarters in Nairobi.
“The bonds that bind top CORD leaders are very very strong,” Kalonzo assured opposition supporters.
