Nairobi - CORD MPs have walked out of Parliament after Speaker Justin Muturi once again threw out a planned impeachment motion Devolution CS Anne Waiguru.
The MPs walked out in disgust after Muturi once again stated that the motion lacked the required threshold to be considered for reading on the floor of the house.
This is the second time Muturi has once again denied the movement of the motion prompting Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter to state that he was colluding with President Uhuru Kenyatta to clear Waiguru.
The first motion was shot down by the lack of numbers, while the second one according to Muturi has failed for the same reason.
Waiguru is being sought out by MPs who are keen for her to step aside to allow for investigations into corruption at her ministry.
She has so far stated that she will not, which has irked MPs ad members of the public.
" The President and Speaker have colluded to ensure that this motion does not go through which shows clearly their effort to protect and not fight corruption," he stated.
Waiguru is being asked to answer to allegations she has overseen the loss of as much as KES 3 billion in her ministry and related agencies.
