CORD leaders rubbish tribal Uhuru appointments

26 November 2015, 17:11 William Korir

Nairobi - CORD leaders were left unhappy with the cabinet reshuffle by President Uhuru Kenyatta, terming it tribal and of no change to the country's outlook.

Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang was particularly unhappy with the recent reshuffle, describing it as a hoax.

He described the changes as a non consequence, stating that it was a case of replacing Monkeys in the same forest.

"The monkeys have changed but the forest remains the same. Kenyans should brace themselves for a long and hard ride under Jubilee," Moses Kajwang' said via Facebook.

He also motioned that the tribal balance in the previous appointments had been maintained.

"Ngilu has been replaced with Mailu, Waiguru with Kiunjuri, Chirchir with Keter, Kambi with Kazungu, Kamau with Kariuki, Koskei with Bett," Kajwang added.

He continued.

"Must you be Kalenjin or Kikuyu to have an above-average chance of serving this nation as a CS? Was there any ideological message in the reconstituted cabinet?"

The President stated that the changes made were necessary to ensure that there was change in the future after a number of blunders made by the previous regime and Cabinet Secretaries all accused of taking part in corruption.
