CORD Governor tells Ababu to respect Raila
04 July 2016, 09:35
Busia - Busia Governor, Sospeter Ojaamong has urged ODM Secretary General Ababu Namwamba to give party leader Raila the respect bestowed to an elderly statesman.
Speaking during a funds drive in aid of St Monica's Butunyi Secondary School in Butula sub County on Saturday, the Governor said Raila brought Ababu from far.
"Raila has brought Ababu from far. This calls for respect instead of issuing abusive language to a person of Raila's stature. Who will bless you?" he wondered.
Ojaamong met face to face with Eldoret-based businessman Michael Oloo who has declared interest in the Governor's post in 2017.

Ojaamong lauded Oloo for his respect and carrying out his campaigns peacefully without engaging in witch-hunt using abusive language and told him to traverse every part of the County without fear.
"Leaders are supposed to behave with such decorum. I encourage others to emulate Oloo's example and Busia will be a very peaceful County," he said.
Oloo said he was very much in the race and asked the Governor to give him a job if he loses at the ballot and vice versa. The chairlady ODM women league, Butula Florence Owuor told leaders from the County who are contemplating quitting the party that they will be face imminent extinction.
"Butula is an ODM zone and we are rooting for the re-election of Governor Sospeter Ojaamong," Women representative Florence Mutua and Kingandole MCA Eric Kaibe.
Kaibe said those who claim Governor Ojaamong and Deputy Governor Kizito Wangalwa are not doing anything are day dreaming.
