Nairobi - The CORD Coalition has formed a team to ensure that the protests that kick off Monday and Thursday are peaceful.
The Coalition has formed the team, which will consist of security agents as well as politicians to ensure that the protests are not disrupted by any means come next week.
The team has already hired stewards who will seek out trouble makers looking to cause havoc during the protests.
" The team is already operational and will ensure that the protests are not invaded by hooligans looking to spoil the name of protesters who are looking to be peaceful," he stated.
CORD has been criticized for the violent nature of the protests that have so far taken place and claimed the lives of 5 people already.
President Uhu8ru Kenyatta on Friday stated that CORD could go on with the protest as much as they like as long as they are peaceful.
" CORD can protest as long as it is in the confines of the law. As long as they are peaceful then the Constitution says that they can protest as much as they like," he said.
The CORD protest look to ensure that the IEBC is knocked out of office before the 2017 General Elections.
