CORD denies plans to host parallel Madaraka Day event

Nairobi - The CORD Coalition has denied plans to hold a parallel Madaraka Day rally in Nairobi.
CORD Tuesday denied claims of planning parallel celebrations for tomorrow’s Mashujaa Day in Makueni County.
President Kenyatta is expected to lead this year’s celebrations in Machakos County.
According to Communications chief Philip Etale, any such stories are false.
" There is no such planned event at all," he stated.
the Madaraka Day celebrations on June 1 held at Afraha Stadium in
Nakuru, while CORD held a similar rally in Nairobi's Uhuru Park.
But Etale denies knowledge of any such plans this time round.
" CORD has not planned any parallel Mashujaa Day rally as is being
propagated by some people on this forum,” Etale wrote on his Facebook
CORD leader Raila Odinga was not available for comment.
