Cop who robbed Tharaka Nithi Deputy Governor at gun point turns himself in

Meru - The AP officer who robbed Tharaka Nithi Deputy Governor, Eliud Mate of KES 3.5 million has surrendered himself to police.
Constable Josphat Kipyegon is alleged to have grabbed the money from his boss on arrival at his home in Kinoru.
Mate said he had just collected the money after selling a piece of his property.
He said Kipyegon pointed a gun at him, grabbed the bag containing the money then walked away after the Wednesday morning incident.
When he turned himself in around 6am on Thursday, Kipyegon denied the charges and was detained at the police station as detectives launch investigations into the matter.
