Cop who robbed Deputy Governor hid the money in his bank account

Nairobi - The AP officer who allegedly stole money from Tharaka Nithi Deputy Governor, Eliud Mate hid some of the cash in his bank account.
This discovery was made by detectives investigating the matter after they found KES 1.4m in his account.
Constable Josphat Kipyegon is alleged to have grabbed KES 3.5 million from his boss at gunpoint on Wednesday at his home in Kinoru.
However, when Kipyegon turned himself in Thursday morning he denied stealing the money.
