Church elders accused of grabbing hospital land

Nyeri - Residents of Thaithi village in Mathira, Nyeri County, have accused elders of a local PCEA Church of grabbing a piece of land set aside for a community health center.
While accompanied by a section of the church faithful, they Sunday stormed the church and disrupted the service by forcing everyone out of the Church.
They claimed that the elders had grabbed the land donated by the community for construction of a health center.
They camped outside the church and castigated the elders for failing to listen to their plight.
They said the elders took over the community health centre constructed through harambee and efforts of solving the matter amicably bore no fruits.
However, determinations of getting the elders’ comment were futile as they refused to talk to the media.
