Nakuru - Three students from Naivasha Girls high school were Tuesday admitted at the Naivasha sub County hospital after a cholera outbreak was reported at the school.
Nakuru County public health officer, Samuel Kingori confirmed the incident as health officials camped at the school to contain the situation.
"We have three confirmed cases of cholera at the school and more students are being examined by health officers who have pitched camp at the school," said Kingori.

Kingori however said the school will not be closed because the situation is under control.
"The problem is suspected to have been caused by contaminated water and since that has been sorted out, we don't see any reason why the school should be closed," he said.
He blamed flower farms in the area for polluting rivers in the area by directing used farm chemicals to the rivers.
