Celebrated Kenyan musician found murdered

Nairobi - A celebrated Kalenjin musician has been found murdered at her home, Police have announced.
Diana Chemutai Musila, known otherwise by her stage name 'Chelele' was found dead at her home in Kapkwen in Bomet County on Saturday morning.
The body had a number of deep stab wounds.
" She was murdered. She had deep stab wounds. At the moment we are trying to investigate the motive for the murder," area Police boss Abel Sande told News24 on phone.
" It is a shocking incident but we are on the matter and at the moment there are no suspects that have been found," he added.

'Chelele' was known majorly for her hit song Wrong Number as well as Mpenzi Wangu and Binti Osama.
Deputy President William Ruto was quick to mourn the late singer and urged Police to quickly ascertain the reasons for the murder as well as those responsible for her death.
" I urge Police to work to bring those responsible to book," he said in a statement.
The singer has had a number of marital issues to deal with, especially after separating with her husband back in 2012.
She has been in and out of court trying to regain custody of her twin children in a case that has yet to be resolved.
The children live with the father Eric Musila who is said to be a Police officer.
