Nairobi - Justice David Maraga will be sworn in as Kenya’s next Chief Justice, President Uhuru Kenyatta has announced.
The President made the announcement Tuesday during the ongoing summit on Anti-Corruption, Governance and Accountability at State House.
The announcement comes even as National Assembly plans to adopt a report on his vetting Tuesday evening.
Justice Maraga, who was nominated to the position last month is expected to take oath of office Wednesday.
The 66-year-old will be succeeding Willy Mutunga as Kenya’s 14th Chief Justice.
