Be careful.. Raila can beat you in 2017, Jubilee MP tells Uhuru

05 September 2016, 16:34 Victor Tinto

Nairobi - Raila Odinga is capable of beating President Uhuru Kenyatta and thus the Jubilee Coalition must be careful not to take him for granted.

Moses Kuria the Gatundu South MP has warned the Jubilee Party leadership that the CORD leader is not to be underestimated.

He was commenting on the countless statements by Jubilee Coalition leaders stating that the former Prime Minister is dead and buried ahead of the polls, saying that they cannot and should not wish him away.

" The elections can be won by two people. Uhuru Kenyatta or Raila Odinga. It is a close race that has yet to be won. We ust be careful when dealing with Raila and prepare adequately," he said in Nairobi.

He warned leaders in the ruling party to ensure that they give 100% in the coming months to woo Kenyans to vote for the President.

" The opposition leaders are also campaigning and are going to form coalitions. There is need to ensure that we are ready for the polls because it will not be straiughtforward," he added.

He however believes that the President will complete his two terms in office.

" The President is the best candidate and Kenyans should vote for him to complete the development initiatives he has started," he continued.

Kuria also asked Kenyans to register to vote in large numbers ahead of the coming polls.
