Bar traders warned against selling alcohol to students

Nyeri - Bar traders in Isiolo County have been ordered to desist from selling alcoholic beverages to school children if they want to keep their licenses.
County Commissioner George Natembeya said it is the duty of government officers, parents and opinion leaders to ensure that students do not engage in destructive behaviours such as alcohol drinking, drugs and radicalization.

Natembeya who was speaking to the press in his office said that students should concentrate on revising their school work while on holiday.
He said security officers will be vigilant to ensure that the youth are properly monitored and do not engage in unproductive vices such as attending discos that will interfere with their education.
