Art to End Slavery

Nairobi - Slavery is a global problem that still
looms large today, despite the strides that have been made to try to end it.
Kenya’s leading artists have decided to come together to fight modern day
slavery through art at an event called “Art to End Slavery.” Brought to life by
Pawa254, the showcase was launched last year in May and was a major success,
showcasing art at its very best from some of Kenya’s leading artists.
The event is set for Saturday the 30th
of July at the Shifteye Gallery on Argwings Kodhek Road here in Nairobi, with
the doors opening from 6pm to 8pm.
It will feature 30 different artists showing
the different artistic styles, with live painting, poetry, good food and music
also being available. There is no cover charge for this event so come one come
