Are you dating a boy or a man?

16 June 2016, 07:53 Solomon Opala

What every girl dreams of is being swept off her feet by a Prince charming that has all the qualities of a romantic movie; tall rich handsome and a gentleman.

The reality on the ground is actually not anything close to this. We live in an imperfect world and not utopian. For your man to qualify as a man and not a boy, he needs to have conquered some basic boyish or animalistic attributes.

1. Sleep

The man needs to have control on how much he sleeps. One cannot sleep all they want and expect to be rich. sleep is necessary to revitalize our system and we should rest only after a hard days work. Laziness is defined as resting before work.

2. Sex

Addiction to sex must be broken if one is to make headway in life. King Solomon in the book of Proverbs advises the young man not to spent his energy on women. When your man wants sex after the second date and has not discussed marriage with you yet, know that you have a boy in your arms. people who are able to control their sexual urge are also able to control other areas of their life like finances and anger.

3. Fighting

A man who fights with you and everyone who crosses his path shows that he is still a boy and not man enough. It's school boys that solve issues with fights after class time. Adults talk things over and don't throw tantrums at the first provocation.

4. Food

Someone who loves food and cannot control his weight shows a lack maturity. Someone who has additions to drugs still needs to grow up before inviting another person on board.
