Nairobi - The alleged Mandera mass grave in which 12 people were supposedly buried is non existent, Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery says.
The alleged mass grave was found in Mandera on Monday, with Police saying that as many as 12 had been buried.
However on exhumation, the body of a woman was the only one found and Nkaissery says that he is miffed a the reports and especially the reaction of some Politicians over the matter.
" There was no mass grave and I am surprised that this topic came up. There was only one body of a woman that was recovered and she was identified," he said.
He also accused Mandera Senator Billow Kerrow of lying about the situation and insisted that he must apologize as a result or face the law.
" He must apologize because his comments were inciteful," he added.
The woman who was found buried has been identified as Isnina Mohammed, a tea vendor and mother of 6.
