Ababu turns his back on ODM, Jubilee

Nairobi - The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General, Ababu Namwamba will on Wednesday resign as the party's secretary general.
Sources aware of the move have told News24 that the Budalangi legislator will make the announcement in his constituency after meeting elders, professionals, religious leaders and ODM delegates.
"He will resign and will neither join Jubilee nor CORD. He wants to create a third force," said the source who did not want to be named for fear of reprisals.

Recently, the Budalangi MP and his Funyula counterpart Paul Otuoma led Western MPs in castigating the ODM leader Raila Odinga saying that they were being sidelined by the party.
Ababu's move is likely to complicate matters for Odinga ahead of the 2017 polls.
