Ababu Namwamba to run for Presidency in 2017?

Nairobi - ODM Secretary General, Ababu Namwamba has hinted at a third force to challenge Jubilee and Cord in the 2017 presidential election following "frustrations" by his Orange party.
Speaking during a meeting with Busia Professionals at the Hotel Quill in Busia Town on Sunday, Ababu said forming a third force will be the second option if frustrations in ODM will persist.
"I am ruling out the option of joining Jubilee. We are in consultation with other partners to form a formidable third force to take on Cord and Jubilee in 2017 elections. We have already approached Amani leader Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya boss Moses Wetang'ula and other leaders including six MPs from Nyanza to chart the way forward.
"I am being branded a Jubilee mole. There is no truth in these allegations since Cord and Jubilee are the same sides of the coin. Paul Otuoma relinquished his post as ODM vice chairman because of frustrations, thus the need to find an option to salvage the people of Western Kenya.

Addressing the press, Busia Professional Association (BUPA) chairman, Stephen Odebero said Ababu is hinting at possibilities of quitting ODM because of mistreatment meted on him by ODM top leadership.
He said Ababu had only the gun with no possibilities of getting the bullets, adding that the remaining option was to return the gun.
Odebero said BUPA had given Ababu the option of quitting the party and join any party to engage with Jubilee or Cord at an appropriate time.
"We want to take leadership and be in the government. It beats logic to be in the opposition all the time," thus the need to get an option for a bargaining power.
