Youths urged to be well informed

Youths in North Imenti Constituency in Meru County have been urged to be at the forefront in identifying the current affairs and everything
around them to benefit from the various opportunities surrounding.
The area Elections Coordinator Mr. Geoffrey Gitobu said youth were the majority forming that if well informed will steer socio-economic
development in the country.
Speaking to the media in his office, Gitobu urged youth from the region to embrace modern technology together with knowing their
administrative and electoral boundaries to effectively participate in the forthcoming electoral process.
He advised voters and aspirants to be cautious about hate speech to avoid a repeat of the last general elections.
The election's coordinator said a voter’s education curriculum had been rolled out and voter education will kick-off this month involving
30 people trained to carry out the process before next year’s general elections.
He said the curriculum in place is a great milestone in promoting peaceful electioneering process urging those with ID cards to turn up
in large numbers as soon as the voter registration kicks-off.
