Nakuru - Members of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) management board have said that governors will only control CDF over their dead bodies.
The Board's acting chairman who is also the Maragwa MP, Elias Mbau said that MPs will never in their life relinquish the management of CDF to County bosses.
Speaking Wednesday in Nakuru town during a CDF public forum, Mbau said that the governors' desire to control CDF is just a pipe dream.

“Governors have been given billions of money but they are not satisfied with that. They are busy lobbying for CDF control but we want to tell them that they will only control CDF over our dead bodies. They should take their selfish egos somewhere else and stop interfering with CDF,” said Mbau.
The Committee vice-chair and MP for Ruiru, Esther Nyambura said that members of parliament are ready to do all it takes to defend their right to CDF.
“CDF is our possession as members of parliament and we are not letting it go. The governors must be told that if they want a fight over CDF then we are ready for it,” said Nyambura.
