You have failed Kenyans, Mwaura tells ICC

Nakuru - ODM Nominated MP, Isaac Mwaura has asked the International Criminal Court (ICC) to terminate the cases facing Deputy President William Ruto and former Kass FM presenter, Joshua arap Sang.
Mwaura said the move by the court to use recanted evidence and change the law is a clear indication that the ICC did not have enough evidence against the two Kenyans.
“It is becoming clear that the court did shoddy investigations into Kenyan cases and they should end it,” said Mwaura, who spoke at Kilusu Primary School on Saturday.
He said it totally unacceptable for The Hague-based court to use the evidence of witnesses who have made damning revelations that they had given false evidence against the two Kenyans.
The legislator said it is sad that the court has wasted time for Kenyans by conducting substandard investigations and taking Kenyans for granted for the last eight years since the violence erupted in the country.

“You failed the Post Election Victims and Kenyans have moved on and embrace reconciliation among themselves; why continue with the cases?" posed Mwaura.
The lawmaker noted that the ICC should be held responsible for splitting Kenyans instead of uniting them as one nation.
“Ruto should be allowed to serve Kenyans instead of spending his time at The Hague,” he remarked. For the latest on national news, politics, sport, entertainment and more follow us on Twitter and like our Facebook page!
