Women urged to vie for bigger posts

Former Naivasha Member of Parliament Jane Kihara has called on all women aspirants in Nakuru County to come out and contest for bigger seats in the County other than limit themselves only for Women Representative posts.
While addressing a women meeting at Nakuru on Wednesday, Kihara said that there is a need for every post in the County to have a woman aspirant.
"Many women are only limiting themselves for Women Rep post, which is not a good thing and that’s why we need to have a woman figure in every post in Nakuru County," Jane explains.
Jane Kihara, who is eyeing for Senate seat in Nakuru County, said that it was going to be pointless if women were not coming out to contest with men for the various posts in the coming polls which are scheduled for March 4th 2013.
The politician added that the new constitution has empowered the girl child same way it does the boy child and so women should not be afraid of anything.
Jane Kihara is expected to meet with other women leaders in Njoro.
