Nyeri - Police in Kieni sub-County are holding two women suspected to be behind a fire incident that occurred at an AP camp in the area Monday night.
Reportedly, the duo used fuel to start the fire that left several AP houses razed though nobody was injured during the incident.
The officers lost personal effects and other valuables including documents with vital administrative information regarding the area.
Residents helped put off the fire before it spread to other houses to cause more damage.
However, further reports allege that the suspects were concubines of two officers at the camp and had earlier been involved in a hot argument after the officers failed to give them money.
Reportedly, the women were regularly seen at the camp visiting the officers and could spend several days at the quarters.
It is not clear why they resorted to burn the houses but police are still interrogating them before arraigning them in court for trial.
