Woman wrestles cousin for snatching husband

A middle aged woman exchanged blow with another lady to defend what she adores most at kibera slums in Imenti North District of Meru County.
This was after Lucy Katwiri found out that the man she was engaged to was having an affair with another woman who happened to be her close cousin.
Speaking to the media at the scene of the fracas, Katwiri said she had heard some rumors from her friends about the affair but ignored them thinking it was mere village gossip from her cousin's enemies.
“Today I received a text from one of my neighbor who told me that she had seen my husband entering a local pub with my cousin. It is then that I chose not to ignore, and I ran to the scene. I found them drinking and in a compromising situation,” said Katwiri.
According to the eye witnesses, Lucy Katwiri attacked the suspect with a broken plate inflicting deep cuts on her nose.
They said her husband could not endure the shame of the confrontation and so he disappeared from the scene leaving the women fighting.
Good Samaritans separated them, and the culprit managed to escape with a bleeding nose.
