Woman steals KES 153 000 from her boss

A 22 year old woman was on Wednesday morning arraigned before Nakuru law courts for stealing KES 153 000 from her employer.
The lady who was identified as Lucy Githinji is said to have stolen the money from a motorcycle spare parts company on 22nd and 27th of this month.
Alphas Marete, the owner of the motorcycle spare parts company told the court that he noticed there was low income of cash for the day than he used to make and that’s when he hired an auditor who discovered that some money was missing.
While defending herself, the accused could not explain to Chief magistrate Samuel Mungai how the money went missing from the company.
Lucy Githinji denied all the charges and was released on a bond of KES 300 000 or cash bail of KES 150 000.
The court set the hearing date on 16th of October.
