Mombasa - A woman suspected to have murdered a cleric attached to Hola prison Mosque has been remanded at Masalani police station for 14 days pending the completion of investigations.
Nimo Ibrahim Muhamud who is the prime suspect in the murder of Abdikadir Ahmed Abdi appeared before a court sitting in Hola charged with the murder.
Hola magistrate, Denis Kiprono directed that the matter be mentioned before a trial court since the court did not have the jurisdiction to handle murder cases.
However, the investigating officer, Wilfred Kiprono made an application to have the accused remanded.
In an affidavit, Kiprono informed the court that the accused was arrested at Guramei village within Masalani location after her personal cell phone was found inside the car of the victim, prompting her arrest.
