Woman found dead in a lodging

Salgaa - A commercial sex worker was on early Monday found dead in a lodging at Salgaa trading centre in Rongai district.
Confirming the incident, Rongai OCPD Joseph Mwamburi said that the woman's naked body was discovered by cleaners at around 8.00am.
According to Mwamburi, the middle aged woman entered the room with a man on Sunday at around 10.00pm adding that the man left early in the morning at around 6.00am.
He said that by the time the duo entered the lodge, they were drunk and the lodge management did not record their details.
The body did not have any injuries thus the cause of her death could not be ascertained.
Mwamburi said that this was the second incident in the area since November last year.
He said that they have instructed all lodge owners to keep a daily record of lodgers so as to help identify them in case of any emergency.
He said that an operation will conduct to ascertain what could have caused the woman’s death.
No one has been arrested in relation to the incident.
Salgaa has been named in a resent research as the third leading town in terms of Hiv/Aids infections with researchers blaming the long distance truck drivers for the pandemic spread.
