Nairobi - A middle-aged man in Githurai Estate, Nairobi, is recuperating at a private hospital after his private parts were chopped off by his wife.
Gabriel Githinji, 31, said that he picked up a quarrel with his wife after returning home at night.
“I came home late in the night and met my wife who started abusing me alleging that I have a side dish," said Githinji.
The man said he receded to bed after his wife failed to give him food.
“I slept and at midnight, I woke up to pain around my private parts. Upon checking, I realised that my manhood had been cut and my wife was nowhere to be found," said Githinji.

Speaking Wednesday at Huruma Hospital where he is nursing serious injuries, Githinji said he sought help from neighbors who took him to the hospital.
“Since my wife had already left, I sought help from my neighbor who took me to hospital," said Githinji.
John Kamau who gave Githinji first aid said that he was bleeding profusely but he managed to contain the bloodflow.
Confirming the incidence, Githurai Chief, Francis Ndukai said that a manhunt has been launched to arrest the suspect.
The administrator urged couples involved in domestic wrangles to seek advice from his office to avoid domestic violence.
