Woman delivers triplets, dies

Excitement by family and community in Murang’a that a mother had delivered triplets were trimmed prematurely when they received bereavement reports from the hospital.
The woman, Pauline Muthoni, died on Sunday at Thika Level five District Hospital after she gave birth to two baby girls and one boy.
She passed on some minutes after developing complications during delivery.
Her husband said that her wife has been in good health from conception until Sunday when pain overtook her.
He immediately rushed her to the hospital after she complained of labour pains relentlessly.
She was bleeding profusely after birth, which doctors said was caused by uterus staying relaxed and failure to contract after delivery.
The mother of eight was from Wemba location in Murang’a South District.
One of her children is a class eight leaver under initiation and expected to join form one next year for high school education.
Deceased’s husband Patrick Kabiru 32, who works as a casual labourer at wemba has been left with the burden of bringing up the entire family of 11 singly.
The couple had been together for eight years before conceiving the triplets.
He said that there are huge hospital and mortuary bills which are unsettled and therefore requested for public assistance to enable him raise the funds.
