Woman camps at police station after policewoman snatched her husband

Kampala - Police officers at Central police station in Kampala were left in shock after a woman stormed the station with her twin babies and two other children claiming that a policewoman attached there had snatched her husband.
The suspected policewoman fled on seeing the woman and her children.
She swore that she would camp there until her husband returned.
''We were surprised when the woman walked to the counter with four children. She told the police officer on duty that she had come to report a policewoman who had snatched her husband,'' said police officer Reuben Ndaye.
Ndaye said that the 39-year-old mother of six, Sumaya Nakanwagi, demanded that the police chief Kale Kaiyura bring her husband and also warned the policewoman to leave her husband alone.
He said they are aware that the policewoman has been going out with the man but did not know that the man had abandoned his wife and children.
''She told us that ever since her husband was snatched, she has been struggling to find food and pay rent,'' Ndaye said.
He said that they have referred her case to the family unit for further investigations.
