Woman accused of killing baby released on KES 1M bond

Nyeri - A woman alleged to have killed her four-month-old baby was Friday released on a bond of KES 1 million and a surety of a similar amount.
Priscah Wangechi however denied claims that she murdered her child on April 9, 2014 at Githuri Village, Nyeri County.
She appeared before Justice James Wakiaga, who also gave her an option of paying cash bail of KES 500 000 and directed that the case be heard after a month.
The accused has been in remand since her arrest on April 10, as police officers conducted their investigations which included mental check on the suspect.
