Willy Paul steals Bahati's song

Nairobi - For those of you with an ear on the ground when it comes to the gospel scene, you might know that there are numerous accusations of musical thievery following Willy Paul. Just recently he was called out for allegedly stealing Burna Boy’s tune and using it in his latest release “Vigelegele.”
Joining this ever-growing list of artists with such accusations is Bahati, who accused Willy Paul of stealing his music publicly. In a lengthy post written on the 5th of April, Bahati calls his musical companion out on stealing his song, Mapenzi. He claims that Willy Paul is apparently going around town paying producers to give him Bahati’s unreleased singles, which he goes ahead to release as his own.
The post goes so far as to question Willy Paul’s motives as a gospel musician and a born again Christian, asking if he truly is saved and working to spread the word. It exposes quite a number of cracks within the gospel music industry, and especially in the relationship between these two. In response to these accusations, Willy Paul yesterday went ahead to release the song in question as his own on YouTube.
