Willy Paul and Bahati meet again

30 April 2015, 15:19 Eugene Odanga

Nairobi - Willy Paul and Bahati will meet again, a few weeks after feuds over the ownership of a song arose.

Willy Paul and Bahati, two of Kenya's top gospel artists have been at each other’s throats for some time now. This was sparked by allegations of music thievery on Willy Paul’s side.

They managed to put their differences aside, only to be thrown back into it again by the Groove Awards.

They are set to go head to head for the prestigious awards of Male Artist of the Year at the awards scheduled for the 3rd of May at the Eldoret Sports club in Eldoret town.

The awards commemorate 10 years of celebrating, awarding and rewarding the top performers in the Kenyan gospel scene.

Last year, Willy Paul and Gloria Muliro opted to step down from the awards in a noble attempt to give way for the upcoming generations of gospel musicians.

This year however, Willy Paul doesn’t look like he will step down, campaigning for votes on his social media pages. Bahati refuses to be left behind, despite the odds being to his favour after the spat he had with Willy.
