Wife chops off husband’s manhood

05 June 2015, 22:05 Joseph Njung'eh

Nairobi - A 40-year-old man has been (Friday) admitted at the Nyeri Level Five Hospital after his manhood was chopped off by his wife of seven years.

It is believed that couple fought when the man returned home in the morning after spending the night out.

The couple from Bellview village in Kieni West sub-county, Nyeri has been living with disputes and differences, residents said.

Francis Gatamu, father to the victim, said he got a phone call from his neighbor informing him that his son had been assaulted and was bleeding profusely.

“I got information from my neighbour that my son had been attacked and injured by his wife. I rushed him to hospital where he has been admitted and under intensive care from doctors,” said the old man.

Gatamu said the couple has been fighting and he was mediating between them.

“The major source of dispute was money. My son allegedly spent the night out at Kiawara trading centre in a drinking spree after selling onions that he had harvested in his farm,” said Gatamu.

Another neighbour, Nicholas King’ori said the man was alcoholic and was spending most of his money in alcoholism, a behavior that could have irritated his wife.

However, police said the wife Ann Njeri, 30, has since been arrested and will be arraigned in court for trial.
