Who is the Johnny Bravo in your life?

Nairobi - We all grew up watching Johnny Bravo, if you did not, then
you grew up in an era where NTV no longer showed free Cartoon Network. Anyway, Johnny represented all the things both the little
girl and woman never wanted in her ideal prince and eventually man. He
was egotistical, selfish, self –entitled, coarse… the list is just too long. I loved the show because
it taught us never to settle as women, all the ladies in the show had a lot of gumption that
just never missed the mark when it came to a Johnny. And we all have a Johnny
in our lives. So, if you do feel the need to settle, here is a list of
Johnnies to avoid:
The Selfish Guy
He called, invited you for a date, not the other way around
yet he expects you to split the bill or lets you pay.
The self-entitled Guy
He is God’s gift to women and he expects you should feel grateful that he chose you.
The one who believes
that women have shunned their role as women by concentrating on their career
instead of being barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen.

The Ex or Exes in the background
He likes to keep in touch with all his former girlfriends.
But there is keeping in touch then hanging out. It is like he cannot let go of
what they formerly had and makes look like the rebound.
The world is against him
He does not believe in trying or working too hard because
something always goes wrong. He is comfortable just sitting there because it
seems whatever he wanted was not meant for him. But he will help you be the
bread winner by sitting at home.
Mommy’s Knows Best
Its okay to care about your mum, but when you have a girlfriend
and you always compare her to the mum, then something is wrong. My mum does not
cook this way, my mum would have... The litany never ends. And it is just a
circle with everything he is involved in in life. Investment decisions, eating
at his mums, spending the weekend with mum…hummmph.
