What has your relationship achieved this year?

02 November 2015, 16:28 Shakila Alivitsa

Nairobi - It’s November, already! Normally we do beginning of the year resolutions but the year is over, did you stick to them or you were already busy by day two?

A year ends when we keep promising ourselves that we have more time. We work on our careers and improve there but what about ourselves and the relationships we have. Are you in a better place as compared to the beginning of the year or it has gotten worse and what are you planning to do about it?

If you are single and it was by choice, then that is a good thing. At times we just need a time out and we do not need to explain ourselves to anyone. On the other hand, maybe you are single but have been actively looking. What is wrong with you maybe? What do you need to work on?

We can lose a lot of time thinking that other people are the ones with a problem but at times it can just be us. You have been making wrong choices; wrong decisions or you have no clue at all. So you have been running a circus around yourself for a whole year.

That is how you get to 35 and look stunned; ‘where did all that time go?'.

Those who are married or in a relationship; at times you act worse than those who are single! What have you and your partner done in the last year that has made you better as a couple and improved your relationship. R you are just like some; not talking to each other.

The same issues keep popping up in your relationship causing deeper rifts. You two are on year two running circles around each other on the same problems. Are you going to fix it or do you just end it; at times as an adult while running away from just coming to a decision.

It is the end of the year; don’t waste another year thinking you still have time. Fix it, or let it go. Sort your issues out if you ever want to find the right partner for you.
