What happened to Louie Otieno?

03 September 2014, 14:23 Eugene Odanga

Nairobi - Pretty much one of the best looking male presenters of his day, a true sex symbol in Kenya, Louie Otieno was the talk of the town for women from all across the country, if not the whole of Africa.

He was a news anchor for Kenya’s biggest television stations but with personal issues taking stock, has been off the radar.

Most recently, he resurfaced to give his account on the mysterious death of a dear friend and neighbour of his Careen Chepchumba who died under mysterious circumstances. She passed on Valentine’s Day 2012 at her apartment in Kilimani and Louie was linked to her death, then he went quiet again.

His current woes are mostly due to the fact that he seems to have let himself loose. He has aged quite a bit and has gained quite a bit of weight, which has shocked the masses of his fans. Might this be attached to the case of the mysterious death of the young lady, for whose murder he was said a suspect before being acquitted?

Others say that it is alcoholism that is the issue and that he has been admitted severally at a Nairobi hospital in critical condition.

What really is the issue with Louie? With the death of former comedian and actor Robin Williams highlights the issues famous personalities have in their lives.
