Nairobi - CORD leaders have been thrown out of parliament for heckling at Speaker Justin Muturi.
The leaders, Senators Wetangula, Bonny Khalwale, Johnstone Muthama and Elizabeth Ongera were kicked out my Muturi after chaos descended in the house during debate over the controversial security bill 2014.
The four were in the house as guests and were sat in the Speaker's gallery in the top tier of the house.
As the house descended into chaos during the reading of the amendments to the security bill, the four leaders shouted and heckled at the house clerk and Muturi as they opposed the reading of the bill.
And with Muturi fed up, he quickly moved to have the leaders kicked out of the house.
" I want them kicked out of the Speaker's gallery now, Muturi shouted to security personnel during house proceedings.
The CORD leaders have been well against the security bill 2014, which they feel are against the rights of Kenyans as prescribed by the constitution.
They had vowed to hold a protest march in the precincts of parliament to demonstrate over the bill.
However, there was a heavy security presence in and outside the house over the planned protest, with paramilitary police stationed all over the city to prevent any sort of march.
