We will win Kajiado Central seat, says Raila

05 February 2015, 10:33

Nairobi - Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leader, Raila Odinga has expressed confidence that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) will triumph in the upcoming Kajiado by elections.

Speaking at Orange house when he presented a nomination certificate to the ODM candidate Elijah Memusi Kanchory, Raila said that the interests of the people of Kajiado Central will be well taken care of in the Orange party.

“The People of Kajiado should elect Kanchory as he is the right candidate who will bring development to the area,” he remarked.

Raila further called on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to ensure that the election is free and fair.

On his part, Kanchory called on the electorate to be wary of people who are giving out money, saying such people do not have the interests of the wananchi at heart.

“Ignore those who are dishing out money and promising people jobs; take both the money and the job and vote me in as I’m the right person for the seat,” he said.

Present during the occasion included Budalangi MP who is also the Party’s Secretary General, Ababu Namwamba and Ford Kenya leader and Bungoma Senator, Moses Wetangula.
