Watchman charged with sodomising pupil
14 March 2013, 17:52
A 40-year-old watchman was on Monday charged in an Embu court with sodomising a pupil.
Peter Toposian who works at a Jua Kali garage in Embu town denied the charge when he was brought before the senior principal magistrate Paul Biwott.
He was released on a KES 100 000 bond with a surety of a similar amount.
It is alleged that the watchman threatened the class six boy with a knife after luring him to a secluded place at around 7.00pm by tricking him that he needed his help.
The boy, according to prosecutor Frank Mnene, was walking home after visiting his aunt in Meru as he was preparing to go back to school after the mid-term break.
The case will be heard on April 16 this year.
