Nakuru - Dundori ward representative Stephen Kihara has accused Nakuru County Assembly Speaker, Susan Kihika of playing politics with assembly affairs.
Kihara said that the speaker was using 'dictatorship' in governing and managing the Nakuru county assembly.
He further said that Kihika had forgotten her role as Speaker and is t now using her position to sideline MCAs who don’t support her.
Kihara said that Kihika was denying some MCAs chance to contribute to motion in the floor of the house because they were not supporting the Speaker.
Speaking to the Media in Nakuru town Tuesday, the Dundori MCA said that he was ousted from the Committee of Roads because he has been close ally of Bahati legislator, Kimani Ngungiri.
The MCA said that was not the first time a chairman of a house committee was removed from their post citing the unceremonious removal of Biashara Ward MCA, Stephen Kuria from speakers panel after he differed with madam Speaker.
Kihara also wondered why the house committees at the assembly are usually reshuffled after every two weeks by the Speaker.
“Something is very wrong with our assembly,” he said.
Attempts by the media to reach Speaker Kihika on phone for a comment proved futile as calls went unanswered.
