Wambui to accompany President Kenyatta to The Hague

02 October 2014, 08:11 Joseph Njung’eh

Nyeri - Othaya Member of Parliament, Mary Wambui has said she will accompany President Uhuru Kenyatta to the Hague based International Criminal Court (ICC).

Wambui urged the President to honour the court's directive requiring him to be in the courtroom on October 8.

While addressing her constituents at Othaya town CDF hall, Wambui asserted that the case against President Kenyatta was heading to a collapse and therefore he should not defy the court order.

Wambui said she and other Jubilee MPs will accompany the President to the court.

She further claimed that if Kenyatta fails to attend the trial, the court would definitely issue a warrant of arrest.

“I believe the President has no case to answer and was the reason why trial has been delayed. They could be hiding something for us and it is good if the President travels there to show that he was cooperating,” said Wambui.

She asked her constituents to pray for the President over the case.

“We should pray for the President because I believe he will conquer all these temptations,” she added.
