Wambui: MPs will protect UhuRuto

Nyeri - Members of parliament allied to the Jubilee coalition will protect President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto against political attacks by opposition, Othaya MP Mary Wambui has said.
Speaking in Othaya town, the MP slammed the recent rally by Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) saying that their demands were a sign of desperation.
“The clamor by CORD is just a historic repetition because whatever they are saying was said by others in the opposition years ago. The three opposition leaders have been in different governments and did not deliver,” Wambui said.
In regard to recent attacks in the coastal region, Wambui revealed that plans are under way to issue Lamu county residents with title deeds to solve the existing land disputes.
“It is not a sin to belong to a certain tribe or community. We should live in love and harmony because it is a constitutional right to live anywhere in the country,” she observed.
