Migori - A middle aged man succumbed to the injuries he sustained after being stabbed by a waiter at a hotel in Migori County.
The deceased is said to have picked a quarrel with the waiter over the quantity of the meat he had served them.
According to the deceased's brother Joel Awino , his sibling had visited the famous nyama choma joint at Ranen trading centre in the company of two friends and ordered a kilogram of goat meat.
But when the food was served to them a few minutes later, they suspected its quantity and immediately complained to the waiter who immediately picked a quarrel with them.

“The hotel management intervened to end the brawl and my brother and his two friends ate and left the joint knowing that everything had been settled,” said Awino.
Things however turned out frosty to the deceased after the waiter trailed him a few minutes later and attacked him with a knife, stabbing him severally in the stomach. He died while being rushed to a nearby health centre as his assailant escaped.
Awendo Sub-County OCS Purity Kobia confirmed the incident saying a man-hunt for the assailant had been mounted in the whole county and asked anyone with information on his whereabouts to report to any police station.
“We are yet to arrest the man but alerts have been sent to all parts of the county to help arrest him,” she said.
